Unprecedented: Thousands Search for Missing Autistic Boy in Germany

Arian, a 6-year-old boy with autism, has been missing for a week in Germany. On Sunday, around 1,200 people participated in the search in Bremervörde. Despite extensive efforts by police and volunteers, there is no evidence of foul play or a possible wolf attack.

The search teams have been tirelessly combing through impassable terrain for a week now. On Sunday, a coordinated human chain of about 800 people was formed, spanning 1,500 meters, systematically searching every corner. Footprints believed to be Arian’s were found in the area, but it was later discovered that they belonged to someone else.

Police efforts have included officers on horses inspecting canals, drones searching the area, and avoiding making noise in the hopes that Arian will come out of hiding. Various methods have been employed to attract Arian, such as playing loud music and setting off fireworks. The search has covered a wide area, including the river Oste.

Despite the extensive search and various methods employed to locate Arian safely, he remains missing. The operational strategy of the search has been coordinated with an autism expert. Volunteers have been inspecting bins, sheds, and garages while searchlights have been installed in the area to illuminate it during nighttime searches. The search continues as authorities strive to locate Arian safely.
