Unprecedented Ukraine raid reaches deep into Russian territory

Ukraine Launches Unprecedented UAV Attack on Russian Oil Refinery in Bashkortostan

In a bold move, the Ukrainian Security Agency launched a UAV attack on an oil refinery facility in the Russian Republic of Bashkortostan. This is the farthest attack since the start of the war, according to a Ukrainian defense source. The attack was conducted by the Ukrainian Security Service (SBU) using UAVs that flew approximately 1,500 km to reach their target.

The result of this unprecedented raid was smoke rising from the oil refinery facility in Salavat, Bashkortostan. The leader of Bashkortostan, Radiy Khabirov, confirmed the attack and stated that a pumping station belonging to Gazprom was damaged but still operational. The Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations reported that there were no fires or casualties as a result of the attack.

This attack comes amidst a series of long-range raids between Russia and Ukraine. In response to these attacks, Russia conducted attacks on Ukraine’s energy infrastructure. Both countries have engaged in retaliatory attacks, escalating tensions between them.

In recent times, Ukrainian officials announced similar raids on oil facilities in southern Russia. This move has intensified the conflict between these two neighboring countries.
