Kuwait Prime Minister and Thani Al-Zeyoudi Discuss Enhancing Trade Relations

UAE and Kuwait strengthen strategic partnership through trade and investment discussions

The Prime Minister of Kuwait, Sheikh Dr. Muhammad Sabah Al-Salem Al-Sabah, recently met with Dr. Thani Al-Zeyoudi, the Minister of State for Foreign Trade, to discuss ways to enhance trade and investment relations between the two countries. The meeting, attended by UAE Ambassador to Kuwait Dr. Matar Hamid Al Neyadi, focused on strengthening the strategic partnership between the UAE and Kuwait.

Dr. Thani emphasized the strong economic ties and collaboration between the two countries, highlighting their mutual commitment to advance these relations for the benefit of their people.

During the meeting, representatives from leading Emirati companies and business associations engaged in discussions with Kuwaiti officials to explore ways to strengthen the strategic partnership and promote mutual growth and prosperity. The participants exchanged ideas on enhancing economic cooperation and investment opportunities between the two countries.

The “Emirati Companies Exhibition and Forum” brought together 20 of the largest Emirati companies in various sectors to showcase their products and services in the Kuwaiti market. The event included presentations on investment opportunities, trade facilitation, and partnership prospects for businesses in both countries.

The longstanding trade relations between the UAE and Kuwait have continued to grow, with non-oil trade reaching 45 billion dirhams in 2023. The UAE is now the second-largest trading partner of Kuwait globally, reflecting the strong economic ties and collaboration between the two countries.
