Troy University’s Dr. Greg Price: Innovative Chief Technology Officer and Social Responsibility Pioneer Recognized as a Top-Ten Icon Technology Professional of the Year
Dr. Greg Price, the Chief Technology and Security Officer at Troy University, has been recognized as one of the top IT professionals globally with a top-ten finish in the prestigious 2024 Oncon Icon Technology Professional of the Year Awards. With over three decades of experience in the technology and cybersecurity field, Dr. Price has been pivotal in promoting innovation and excellence at Troy University for 27 years.
Throughout his distinguished career, Dr. Price has secured numerous awards and honors, including being named one of the top 100 IT Technologists by ComputerWorld and leading Troy University’s cybersecurity team to national recognition. In addition to his professional accomplishments, he is also involved in social responsibility initiatives such as founding the Alabama Digital Forensics Institute and the Alabama Cyberkids Awareness Program, raising over $3 million for children’s hospitals through ultra-endurance running events.
Dr. Price’s contributions to technology and cybersecurity have been significant, with him holding 11 industry certifications, being a licensed engineer in two fields, securing three technology patents, and authoring seven influential books on technology and cybersecurity.
