Trine University Launches New Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science Program Amidst Growing Demand for Environmental Experts

Trine University recently launched a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science degree program, leveraging its strengths in science and engineering. The program aims to prepare students with the skills needed to tackle the environmental challenges facing our planet. Classes for this new program will commence in August.

The Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science is housed within the Rinker-Ross School of Health Sciences, where it equips students for various careers related to the environment, law, health and safety, or public policy. According to Lexie Staten, dean of the School of Health Sciences, this program focuses on improving both planetary and human health. It is essential to train professionals capable of collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data concerning the environment and human impact on it.

The degree program offers hands-on fieldwork and research projects that prepare students for careers as environmental scientists, conservation scientists, environmental educators, lawyers, environmental policy analysts, or environmental health and safety specialists. With the Bureau of Labor Services projecting above-average job growth in this field over the next decade, a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science from Trine University promises exciting career prospects for graduates.

Trine University boasts an impressive track record of preparing students for employment opportunities. Over the past 11 years, over 99% of Trine graduates have secured employment or continued their education within six months of graduation.
