Meanwhile, in prep baseball, Bedford’s team suffered an 8-3 loss to Warren DeLaSalle after a five-run third inning by their opponents. Despite outpitching DeLaSalle 6-5, Bedford committed five errors.
In youth wrestling, Sullivan Layne of Monroe, a third grader at Manor Elementary, won a MYWAY state championship during the weekend. In adult soccer, Travis Campbell scored five goals to lead Old Crows to an 8-5 victory over Athletico on the opening night of Winter Session III at LevelUp Training. Rev. Mike Anagbogu scored twice for Athletico.
