Thirty Years of Stargazing: The Hubble Space Telescope’s Continued Contributions to Astronomical Research

The Hubble Space Telescope, which has been in operation for over thirty years, remains at the forefront of astronomical research by making remarkable discoveries that contribute to our knowledge of the universe. This groundbreaking project is a collaborative effort between NASA and the European Space Agency (ESA).

NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Center in Greenbelt, Maryland, is responsible for managing the telescope and its mission operations. Supporting the mission operations at Goddard is Lockheed Martin Space, a company based in Denver, Colorado.

Additionally, the Space Telescope Science Institute in Baltimore, Maryland, operated by the Association of Universities for Research in Astronomy, plays a key role in conducting the science operations for Hubble on behalf of NASA. This partnership allows the Hubble Space Telescope to continue its mission of exploring the wonders of the cosmos and expanding our understanding of the universe.
