On Saturday, the Mississippi State Department of Health is hosting a symposium called “Be in Good Health”. The event promises to be a day filled with soulful music, informative talks from health experts and free health screenings.
The symposium will take place at the Jackson Convention Complex starting at 8:30 a.m. and running until 2 p.m. Eight choirs are set to participate in the gospel choir competition, including Anderson United Methodist Church Praise Team, Pastor J Artie Stuckey & VOR, and Jemero Carter & Kingdomology. The event is being organized by the Office of Health Equity and the Community Engagement Center of the Jackson Heart Study.
Attendees can expect to enjoy soulful music throughout the day, as well as valuable health information and important health screenings.
