Representative Sewell Embarks on Small Business Tour Across 7th Congressional District

Small Business Spotlight: Rep. Terri Sewell Tours Local Businesses and Encourages Community Support During National Small Business Week

U.S. Rep. Terri Sewell of Alabama’s 7th Congressional District recently embarked on a Small Business Tour to highlight the importance of small businesses to the local economy. Rep. Sewell visited four local businesses, including Travis Chicago Style, Alabama Goods, Bearden Design, and The Coffee Shoppe in Selma.

During her tour, Rep. Sewell expressed admiration for the small businesses in her district and stressed their vital role in the community and the country’s economy. She pledged to support their growth and encouraged everyone to celebrate National Small Business Week by shopping local and supporting small businesses.

Earlier in the week, Rep. Sewell visited The Coffee Shoppe in Selma, which will receive the U.S. Small Business Administration’s 2024 Phoenix Award for Outstanding Disaster Recovery Efforts. She will be hosting a virtual discussion with owner Jackie Smith as part of her “Terri Talks” series, which will be live-streamed on her social media platforms.

National Small Business Week runs from April 28 to May 4, 2024, and celebrates the hard work, creativity, and dedication of small businesses across the country. It recognizes their significant contributions to the economy and encourages support for local small businesses.
