Saints Cut Quarterback Kellen Mond and Offensive Lineman Tommy Kraemer as They Prepare for Rookie Minicamp

The Saints have announced that they have waived quarterback Kellen Mond and offensive lineman Tommy Kraemer, according to the NFL’s daily transaction report. Although the team did not add any new players to the roster, they may do so in the coming days as they prepare for their rookie minicamp this weekend.

In mid-April, Mond signed with the Saints, but his departure was anticipated after the team drafted Spencer Rattler in the fifth round. With five quarterbacks on the roster, the Saints have decided to move forward with Rattler, Jake Haener, and Nathan Peterman behind Derek Carr.

Kraemer, who played four games for New Orleans last year and nine games with the Lions in 2021, will now be looking for opportunities with other teams in the NFL.
