Rohit Sharma Leads India’s T20 World Cup Squad, Including Rishabh Pant in Comeback, for Upcoming Tourney in the West Indies and USA
The Indian cricket team has announced its 15-member squad for the T20 World Cup in June, which will take place in the West Indies and the USA. Rohit Sharma will lead the team as captain, with Hardik Pandya named vice-captain. Virat Kohli, who led the Indian T20 team during Rohit Sharma’s absence, has also been selected.
Rishabh Pant is set to make a comeback to the Indian cricket team after recovering from a car accident in December 2022. Sanju Samson has been included as the other keeper in the squad. Shubman Gill has been named as one of the reserves for the team, along with Rinku Singh, known for his batting as a finisher.
India’s middle-order includes Shivam Dube, who has been consistent for India and Chennai Super Kings. The spin all-rounders chosen for the team include Axar Patel and Ravindra Jadeja, with Kuldeep Yadav and Yuzvendra Chahal also included. India’s pace battery consists of Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Siraj, and Arshdeep Singh. Reserves include fast bowlers Khaleel Ahmed and Avesh Khan.
