Google AI predicts the structure and interactions of all life’s molecules in high definition biological view

Revolutionizing the Biomolecular World: AlphaFold 3’s High-Definition View of Cellular Systems

The biomolecular world is a complex system that contains billions of molecular machines. Understanding how these machines work is essential for treating diseases and making new discoveries in various fields. The latest version of AlphaFold, an artificial intelligence system created by Google, has the capability to predict the structure and interactions of all the molecules of life. This revolutionary model, known as AlphaFold 3, provides a high-definition view of the biological world, allowing scientists to see cellular systems in all their complexity through their structures, interactions, and modifications.

AlphaFold 3 is based on the foundations of its predecessor, AlphaFold 2, which represented a fundamental advance in the prediction of protein structure. This new version of the AI system offers substantial improvements to the deep learning architecture and training system, allowing for more accurate predictions of a wide range of biomolecular systems. It can predict protein interactions with other molecules with at least a 50% improvement compared to existing methods, and in some important categories, the accuracy of predictions has doubled.

The new capabilities of AlphaFold 3 extend beyond proteins to encompass a wide range of biomolecules, including DNA, RNA
