Bafang has recently launched the Gear Variable Transmission (GVT) technology platform, which is designed to improve the shifting experience on fat-tire e-bikes. The platform includes the G500A internal five-speed automatic shift hub, which has been specifically engineered for e-bikes.

Bafang claims that the new technology will provide precise automatic mechanisms and advanced transmission control, making e-bike shifting more efficient and enjoyable for riders. The GVT products are also said to be belt-drive friendly and easy to integrate, providing a superior riding experience.
