The Hampden Charter School of Science East girls’ tennis team emerged victorious against Frontier on Tuesday, despite losing the final three matches. Iyanla Lewis and Tiffany Munga secured victories in their singles matchups, putting the Red Hawks in an early lead. Thanushi Ratnatuge of Frontier kept the game close with a win in his final singles matchup.

In the doubles matches, Esther Ehle and Kayla Fagan secured a win for Hampden Charter School of Science East, while Jasmine Ortega and Saryah Brantley sealed the victory for the home team. This marked only the fourth combined set loss for Hampden Charter School of Science East this season, as they maintained an undefeated record at 5-0.

Meanwhile, Frontier moved to 3-7 after their loss to Hampden Charter School of Science East. They will be looking to bounce back in their upcoming match against Greenfield. The boys’ team will also take their momentum on the road to face Pioneer Valley Chinese Immersion Charter School on Wednesday.
