Jak Jones dominates semi-final against Stuart Bingham at World Championship

Record-Setting Performance by Welsh Qualifier Jak Jones Secures 13-10 Lead over Defending Champion Stuart Bingham in Snooker World Championship Semi-final

In the third session of his World Championship semi-final, Welsh qualifier Jak Jones opened up a 13-10 lead over defending champion Stuart Bingham. Despite Bingham’s early lead, Jones reeled off five consecutive frames, boosted by three half-century breaks. Even after Bingham made a superb 104 break in the final frame, only seven of the eight scheduled frames were completed due to the protracted nature of some frames.

Meanwhile, Kyren Wilson holds a lead in his semi-final match against David Gilbert, with the match set to conclude later in the day. Jones, currently ranked 44th in the world, defeated Judd Trump in the quarter-finals and is aiming to become the lowest-ranked finalist since Shaun Murphy in 2005.

Bingham struggled to find his rhythm throughout the match and made several errors that allowed Jones to capitalize and take control. Despite some loose safety shots and missed opportunities, Bingham managed to make a century break in the final frame. However, Jones remained unfazed by the pressure and punished Bingham for his mistakes, putting himself in a strong position to reach the final.

The second session of both matches will continue later today as players battle it out for a spot at Wembley Arena next week.
