At 12:31 P.M., Normal Police reported that an armed individual had been taken into custody without incident. A later update at 12:20 P.M. confirmed that the scene was secure and no longer active, with no threats to the public and no reported injuries. The police department requested that the public avoid the area of Susan and Parkway Plaza drives due to the ongoing situation, advising staying away from nearby businesses for safety purposes.
