Pioneering in Technology: Kim Koro ʼ86 of USD and Qualcomm is Recognized as a Top 100 Women in Technology

Kim Koro ʼ86, a prominent member of the University of San Diego (USD) Board of Trustees and Law School Board of Visitors, has been recognized as one of the 2024 Top 100 Women in Technology by Technology Magazine. This prestigious list showcases influential leaders and pioneers in the tech industry who are driving innovation, investment, and supporting underrepresented groups.

With over 35 years of experience at Qualcomm, Inc., Koro currently serves as the Senior Vice President and General Manager of Qualcomm Government Technologies (QGOV). In this role, she collaborates with government agencies at all levels to apply commercial wireless technology advancements for mission performance improvements. Her leadership is focused on fostering innovation in public-private partnerships and helping the U.S. Government stay up-to-date with the latest wireless technologies.

Koro’s work with QGOV involves collaboration with the U.S. Government on projects related to advanced connectivity, cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, machine learning, and edge computing. She is also actively involved in the USD community, where she received the USD School of Law’s Distinguished Alumni Award in 2020 and established endowed scholarships with her husband to support law students with financial need and exceptional character.
