WindStream and PNOC Collaborate on Hybrid Renewable Technology in the Philippines

Philippines Partners with WindStream Energy Technologies to Implement Hybrid Renewable Energy Solutions in Off-Grid Communities

In a bid to promote renewable energy solutions in the Philippines, the Philippine National Oil Co. (PNOC) has partnered with WindStream Energy Technologies India Pvt Ltd., an Indian renewable energy solutions provider. The partnership aims to implement hybrid renewable technology systems in the country, specifically SolarMill technologies in small island communities across the nation.

SolarMill technologies integrate wind and solar energy systems, providing a modular and scalable energy solution that can be easily deployed and installed in remote areas. This collaboration will help expedite the government’s electrification objectives by utilizing the compact size of SolarMill systems.

WindStream Energy Technologies, founded in 2013, offers hybrid renewable energy systems to approximately 38 countries. By combining diesel-powered generation with solar and wind power, the initiative aims to improve energy access and sustainability in off-grid communities. The collaboration is also expected to strengthen the hybridization program of the National Power Corporation for its small power utility group in off-grid areas. Overall, this partnership represents a significant step forward in promoting sustainable energy solutions in the Philippines.
