OKWU Baseball on the Brink of KCAC Title Game: A Win Against Tabor College and a Strong Season Record
The Eagles’ baseball team is just one win away from securing a spot in the KCAC title game after defeating Tabor College with a score of 6-4. The second-seeded Blue Jays had loaded the bases in the bottom of the ninth inning, but OKWU pitcher Ashton Luera stepped up and secured the victory for his team.
With this win, OKWU has gone undefeated in the tournament so far, putting them in a strong position as they head into the weekend. They will need to win just one more game on Saturday to secure their place in the title game on Sunday. OKWU will be facing either Friends University or Tabor College, both teams that they have previously beaten.
The victory brings OKWU’s overall season record to 33-18, and they will need to win the conference tournament in order to earn a spot in the NAIA national tournament. As the KCAC tournament continues, we will provide more updates on OKWU baseball. Stay tuned for more information on their journey towards the title game.
