North Central Missouri College Robotics Automation Team Earns National SkillsUSA Spotlight

The robotics automation technology team from North Central Missouri College, consisting of Keaton Pettlon and Zachary Walker from Maryville, recently emerged victorious in the Missouri SkillsUSA Robotics Automation Technology Competition at State Tech in Linn. The team completed their contest skill challenge in record time and became the only one to successfully complete it.

Under the guidance of Rick Sharp, an instructor at NCMC specializing in industrial technology, Pettlon and Walker demonstrated their exceptional skills and were commended for their performance. Sharp stated that they are strong competitors with the potential to excel at the national level.

Their success in the Missouri SkillsUSA competition has earned them a spot to compete at the National SkillsUSA conference in Atlanta, GA, from June 24-28. With this achievement, Pettlon and Walker will now be among the top two percent of the nation in the Robotics Automation Technology contest. Sharp is optimistic about their prospects at the upcoming national conference and expressed confidence in their abilities.
