The Speed is Increasing: It’s Only Getting Faster

Noah Lyles: Aiming for Quadruple Olympic Gold in Paris 2024

Noah Lyles has set his sights on winning four gold medals in Paris 2024, becoming the first person to achieve this feat in track and field. After making his international debut at the Indoor World Championships in Glasgow, Scotland, where the American team came in second to the Belgians, Lyles is now shifting his focus back to his 100m roots in the Bahamas.

To secure four gold medals at the Paris Games, Lyles must excel in a combination of challenging events including the 4x100m and 4x400m relays, as well as the 100m and 200m sprints. This ambitious goal has never been achieved before in track and field not even by legendary athletes like Usain Bolt.

Despite facing doubts from some critics, Lyles is determined to prove that he is serious about his pursuit of quadruple Olympic gold. In a recent interview with Reuters, Lyles emphasized his commitment to his goal and dismissed any thoughts that he was just seeking attention. During his first attempt at the 4x400m relay in Glasgow, Lyles showed his potential by being the fastest of all third legs, although his individual time was not the quickest among his American teammates.

With his sights set on achieving a historic feat in Paris, Noah Lyles is prepared to push himself to the limits and showcase his versatility as a sprinter in pursuit of quadruple Olympic gold.
