Vice President Kamala Harris announced new regulations for federally funded nursing homes, aimed at enhancing the quality of care provided. These rules will have an impact on nursing facilities and home health care companies. Meanwhile, representatives from Erie’s three largest health systems are set to participate in a healthcare job fair on Monday, showcasing various careers in the field. The Healthcare Career Expo will take place at the Bayfront Convention Center from 2-7 p.m., and will include UPMC Hamot and Saint Vincent Hospital, along with around 30 other local healthcare employers.
The job fair will feature discussions on available healthcare positions in Erie, including opportunities for licensed practical nurses, registered nurses, therapists, dietitians, radiology technicians, counselors, and social workers. In addition to information about healthcare jobs, attendees will have the chance to speak with professionals about finance, real estate, and insurance. The job fair is free to attend and will offer refreshments and raffles for participants.
