Meloni: “Employees Earning Up to 28,000 Euros will Receive 100 Euros in January”

New Incentives for Families and Job Creation: Italy’s Prime Minister Announces Legislation to Boost Economic Growth

In her speech at Palazzo Chigi, Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni announced that the Council of Ministers would be introducing a legislative decree to provide a 100-euro allowance to employees with a total income not exceeding 28,000 euros, who have a spouse and at least one dependent child, or for single-parent families with a single dependent child in January 2025. Additionally, Meloni stated that measures would be put in place to support employed work and specific provisions would be introduced to encourage the start-up of new distinct activities in the center-north and the South.

Moreover, the government plans to retrain workers from large companies in crisis to match job supply and demand and support the creation of new businesses in the South and Center-North to reduce unemployment. The Prime Minister highlighted the importance of supporting those looking for jobs, those hiring, and those intending to start their own businesses, especially focusing on categories facing difficulties in finding work.
