Australian TE Patrick Murtagh signs with Jaguars

New addition to the Jacksonville Jaguars’ roster: Australian tight end Patrick Murtagh

The Jacksonville Jaguars have signed Australian tight end Patrick Murtagh to their team as part of the NFL’s International Player Pathway Program. Murtagh was exempt from the roster limit due to his status as an international player, which provides the team with some flexibility in developing him as a player and potentially keeping him in the organization.

Before joining the Jaguars, Murtagh had a brief stint with the Detroit Lions last offseason before leaving due to a medical issue. He has since participated in a scouting combine in London and has been training at the renowned IMG Academy in Florida. Prior to pursuing a career in the NFL, Murtagh played Australian Rules Football in his home country, showcasing his athletic abilities and potential as a professional football player.
