Study of the Castejn-Logroo AVE section Approved for Immediate Tender

Navarra’s Transport Infrastructure: A Step Closer with Minister Scar Bridge’s Approval for High-Speed Rail and Byway Construction

On Tuesday, the Minister of Transport and Sustainable Mobility, Scar Bridge, announced the approval of a study for the high-speed railway section connecting Castejón (Navarra) to Logroo. This will pave the way for immediate tendering of projects for that section.

During a Senate Plenary session, Bridge emphasized the government’s commitment to establishing a high-speed connection with La Rioja. He noted that all sections between Zaragoza and Miranda de Ebro are either in execution, study, or project stage. Specific studies and projects are being undertaken to reduce travel times to La Rioja and improve the corridor between Logroo and Miranda de Ebro.

The construction of the Rincón de Soto bypass is also ongoing. The Minister addressed the controversy that arose in April regarding a new direct railway connection between Logroo and Madrid. Although it was considered disappointing by Rioja President Gonzalo Capellán despite increasing direct train seats between the two cities by 3,200, Bridge announced plans to meet with the regional president of La Rioja on May 31 to discuss these matters further.

Apart from this, there were discussions on various forums about gaming licenses, online gambling, cryptocurrency licenses and other related topics. However, the main focus remained on developing high-speed railways and transport infrastructure in the region.

In conclusion, Scar Bridge has announced approvals for several key projects in Navarra’s transport infrastructure development plan while addressing controversies surrounding some of these projects during his address in the Senate Plenary session.
