On Tuesday, the Mizzou baseball team returned home after a weekend sweep by Tennessee and faced off against Lindenwood. The Tigers quickly dominated the game, winning 13-1 in just seven innings to complete the season sweep.

Javyn Pimental started on the mound for Mizzou, pitching a scoreless first inning before Kaden Jacobi took over and allowed just one run in the next three innings. The Tigers’ offense was quick to get going, with Justin Colon driving in Danny Corona to give Mizzou a 1-0 lead in the first inning.

In the fourth inning, with the game tied at one, Mizzou’s offense exploded. Jackson Beaman hit a solo homer followed by Jack Holubowski’s first career hit. The Tigers scored nine runs that inning, with contributions from Brock Daniels, Jackson Lovich, Colon, and Corona among others. Matt Garcia’s three-run homer made it 10-1 Mizzou.

The Tigers’ pitchers kept up their strong performance throughout the game, with Victor Quinn, Ben Pederson and Xavier Lovett closing out the game without allowing any more runs. In the sixth inning, Mizzou added three more runs to take their lead to 13-1 victory in seven innings. This win was their 20th of the season and Head Coach Kerrick Jackson led his team to a 13-10 record at home.

The next challenge for Mizzou is a weekend series at home against South Carolina starting on Friday at 6:00 p.m., as they look to continue their winning streak and improve their record as they face a tough opponent in South Carolina
