Missouri Attorney General Cracks Down on Vape Society Supplies and Other Businesses Selling Illegal Products
Missouri Attorney General Andrew Bailey recently conducted an investigation into the sale of illegal vape and marijuana products by distributors in the state. One of the businesses under investigation is Vape Society Supplies in Columbia, with CIDs also issued for businesses in Wentzville, Kansas City, and St. Louis. Bailey alleges that these businesses are violating the Missouri Merchandising Practices Act by selling e-cigarettes and vapes deceptively and Delta-8 products in illegal means.
Bailey requested documents and information from all businesses targeted, including business owners, organizational charts, products sold, terms of sale, inventory, and more for all locations where they conduct business. The Food and Drug Administration had previously issued a warning letter to Vape Society Supplies regarding electronic nicotine delivery system and e-liquid products.
The warning letter from the FDA cited specific products being sold without proper marketing authorization orders. ABC 17 News reached out to Vape Society Supplies for comment on the investigation but has not received a response yet. Updates will be provided as the story develops.
