VCU Health Tappahannock Hospital announces appointment of new Chief Nursing Officer

McLaughlin Appointed as CNO for VCU Health Tappahannock Hospital: A Clinically Experienced Nurse Leads the Way in Healthcare Excellence

McLaughlin, with over 20 years of experience in the nursing field, has been appointed as the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) for VCU Health Tappahannock Hospital after a thorough national search. Having served as the interim CNO since January 2024, she officially assumed her new role on April 28.

With a wealth of knowledge and expertise, McLaughlin brings a clinical background that includes working in correctional facilities, emergency medicine, medicine-surgery progressive care, and ambulatory care settings. In addition to her clinical work, she has also been involved in teaching the next generation of healthcare professionals as a faculty member at Brightpoint Community College and Virginia Commonwealth University’s School of Nursing.

As a member of the leadership team at Tappahannock Hospital, McLaughlin is dedicated to representing the nursing workforce and ensuring high-quality care for patients and the surrounding community.
