Matt Ryan, a former NFL quarterback who played for 15 years in the league, recently announced his retirement. He has now joined CBS Sports as a studio analyst on “The NFL Today”. This news comes as longtime analysts Phil Simms and Boomer Esiason are set to leave the show.

Ryan will be joining a talented team of analysts including James Brown, Nate Burleson, Bill Cowher, and JJ Watt. CBS Sports president and CEO David Berson expressed his excitement at having Ryan on board, praising his talent and professionalism. The veteran quarterback brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to his new role as a studio analyst.

Simms, who joined CBS in 1998 and was initially a game analyst before moving to the studio in 2017, shared his gratitude for his 26-year run with CBS Sports on social media.
