Logitech International, a leading technology company known for its computer mice, keyboards, and video conferencing systems, is looking to drive faster growth in the future. CEO Hanneke Faber stated that the company plans to expand its customer base into sectors such as education and healthcare, as well as focus on utilizing artificial intelligence more effectively. Recently, Logitech ended a period of declining sales by achieving its first quarterly sales increase.

After facing challenges due to the impact of the pandemic, Logitech now aims to achieve sales growth of 0-2% over the next 12 months, with even faster growth anticipated in the following years. Faber emphasized that the goal of increasing sales by prompting customers to purchase premium versions of their products, such as speakers and webcams. Until now, the company primarily targeted office workers but now plans to broaden their consumer base to include individuals in retail, education, construction, and manufacturing sectors.

Logitech sees opportunities for growth in areas like education by creating products suitable for children and expanding their presence in the gaming market by developing more products for console and mobile phone players. Additionally, they are exploring ways to enhance sales to businesses despite current challenges in the market. However, Faber emphasized that the shift towards hybrid work post-pandemic is a trend that is likely to persist.

To achieve this goal of growth, Logitech plans to introduce more products integrated with artificial intelligence (AI) to enhance user experience. They are also exploring AI-equipped video conferencing software that can focus on the speaker while filtering out background noise. Faber mentioned that acquisitions could be a possibility given their significant cash reserve of $1.5 billion; however she emphasized that strategic decisions rather than rushing into deals are crucial.

Overall Logitech’s plans aim at diversifying its product portfolio beyond office use cases while keeping an eye on emerging technologies like AI and hybrid work trends which will help them maintain their leadership position in the technology industry.
