Netanyahu refuses to accept any deal that would allow Hamas to remain unchanged after the war

Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu Refuses to Give In to Hamas’ Demands and Calls for Immediate Military Offensive in Gaza

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has categorically rejected both the calls for an agreement and the demands to launch an immediate offensive on Rafá. He made it clear that Israel will not accept an agreement that implies the end of the war or leaving Hamas intact, which is one of the main objectives of the Israeli military offensive in Gaza.

Netanyahu emphasized that Israel is willing to reach an agreement but cannot accept a situation where Hamas can regain control of their military infrastructure and threaten Israeli citizens once again. He stated that surrendering to Hamas’ demands would only bring the next war closer as agreements are not reached with weak and defeated parties but with strong and victorious ones.

The Prime Minister also addressed criticism from far-right parties who urged for an immediate military offensive against Rafa. Netanyahu made it clear that no one dictates to him what he should do, and things will happen when they happen. He emphasized the importance of unity within the Council of Ministers and reaffirmed that Israel will eliminate Hamas, despite any delays that may have occurred.

In response to the massive demonstrations in Israel in favor of an agreement, Netanyahu criticized media reports that harm negotiations and cause unnecessary suffering to hostages’ families. He remained firm in his stance to fight until all objectives are met and reiterated that Israel is not willing to give in to Hamas’ demands for surrender.
