Israel Faces International Criminal Court Investigation over Gaza Conflict

The International Criminal Court (CPI) has warned Israel that it may issue arrest warrants against the country’s top officials for alleged war crimes in Gaza. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stated that if this were to happen, it would be a “scandal on a historic scale.” Israel is not a signatory to the Rome Statute and therefore does not recognize the jurisdiction of the ICC.
