Ingsa Celebrates 10th Anniversary with Groundbreaking Conference in Rwanda

RPN recently spoke with Rémi Quirion, president of Ingsa, ahead of the organization’s 10th anniversary conference in Rwanda. The International Network for Government Science Advice is set to meet this week to celebrate its first decade and discuss future plans for the organization.

This global conference will be the body’s fifth in-person event (sixth if you include a virtual conference held in 2020) and marks the first time it will be held in a Global South country. The conference provides an opportunity for members to come together, share knowledge, and collaborate on advancing science advice in government.

As president of Ingsa, Rémi Quirion has played a key role in shaping the organization’s mission and direction over the past decade. He spoke with RPN about the importance of science advice in government and how Ingsa is working to make it more effective and accessible.

“Science advice is essential for informed decision-making,” said Quirion. “Ingsa is committed to providing high-quality scientific advice to governments around the world.”
