University of Houston Prepares to Ditch NFL, Embrace Columbia Blue

Houston University Reverts to Alternate Blue Color Scheme Despite NFL Disapproval”.

The University of Houston has decided to go against the NFL and the Tennessee Titans by reverting to using an alternate Columbia Blue color scheme, despite being discouraged to do so last year. This decision was made after reviewing all aspects of the situation and evidence showing the city uses the alternate color scheme, making their decision justifiable.

Houston has notified the NFL of their intention to use the alternate color scheme, but as of now, there has been no response from the league. Athletic director Chris Pezman explained that they are giving the NFL a few weeks to respond before moving forward with their plans. The university believes that they have a solid reasoning behind their decision and are prepared to defend their position.

The close proximity of Houston to the Texans, who recently introduced a uniform with a similar color, also supports their case. It is unlikely that anyone would have intellectual property rights over a color, and it would not reflect well on the NFL if they were to take legal action against the University of Houston over this matter. Pezman mentioned that they will continue to communicate with the NFL and hope for a positive response.
