High School Athletes Shine in Spring Sports: Impressive Performances Announced for April 15-21

The top performers in high school athletics have been announced for the week of April 15-21. Isabella Bright from Riverside scored an impressive seven goals and had two assists in a lacrosse game against Eastside, which Riverside won 19-4 in the Class AAAA Upper State semifinals. Ayiana Chalmers from Hillcrest excelled in track and field, winning the long jump, triple jump, and placing second in high jump at the Bob Jenkins Coaches Classic Elite meet in Seneca.

Cassidy Lee from Woodmont hit two home runs and drove in six runs in a softball game against T.L. Hanna. Jessica Mikesell from Christ Church had seven goals and four assists in a lacrosse game against Wade Hampton, which Christ Church won 23-12 in the Class AAAA Upper State semifinals. Natalie Regan from Riverside showed exceptional performance in a three-game stretch, with two home runs, a triple, a double, five runs scored, five RBIs, and three stolen bases.

Morgan Siglin from Wade Hampton scored 10 goals and had three assists in a lacrosse match against Greenville, although Wade Hampton lost 17-15 in the state playoffs. Halle Tomkins from Palmetto pitched a five-inning no-hitter in a softball game against Fountain Inn, striking out 11, walking one
