Gunshot Wound for French ‘The Voice’ winner Kendji Girac: An Accident or Something More?
Perigueux-born Kendji Girac, the French winner of ‘The Voice 2014’, was recently injured by a gunshot while handling a Colt 45 he had purchased at a flea market. Despite the speculation, his family insists that the incident was an accident and not related to any gang activity.
An investigation has been launched after police received a call about the gunshot wound around 5:30 AM. The Mont-de-Marsan Prosecutor’s Office has not released any details yet. The incident occurred at a nomadic camp in Biscarrosse, where Girac was staying at the time.
Girac is originally from Perigueux and belongs to a family of Catalan gypsy heritage. He rose to fame unexpectedly when a video of him performing a cover of a hit song went viral in 2013. He won ‘The Voice’ in 2014 and has since achieved significant success in the music industry. Songs like “Color Gitano” and “Andalouse” have garnered millions of views on platforms like YouTube.
