However, despite the loss, they found themselves in good company as Dawn Staley, a North Philly native and former Temple University women’s basketball coach, stepped into the spotlight in South Philly.
Before heading to the game, Staley made sure to stop by Mitchell & Ness to pick out the perfect outfit for her courtside appearance. She began the Sixers game by ringing the bell and proudly wearing an Allen Iverson t-shirt. During the game, she connected with Sixers legends Allen Iverson and Julius Erving, known as Dr. J. The Sixers mic’d up Staley, capturing her reactions and enthusiasm during crucial moments of the game.
