From KCAC Tournament Champs to NAIA National Tournament: Oklahoma Wesleyan Baseball Makes History

Oklahoma Wesleyan baseball emerged victorious in the Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference Tournament, securing an automatic berth into the NAIA National Tournament. The team went undefeated throughout the weekend tournament held in Great Bend, Kansas, ultimately claiming the KCAC Tournament title with a 6-4 victory over Kansas Wesleyan on Sunday.

Ashton Luera stepped onto the mound in the final inning to shut down the Coyotes and seal the win for Oklahoma Wesleyan. The defense held strong, preventing any further scoring from Kansas Wesleyan in the last few innings to secure their triumph.

Oklahoma Wesleyan’s impressive run began on Saturday with a 7-5 victory over Friends, leaving them unbeaten and advancing to the championship match. Fans eagerly await the NAIA Tournament selection show on Thursday to determine their next steps for the Regional portion of the event.
