From Best to Top: Hamad International Airport Wins Skytrax World Airport Awards for Third Time in a Row

Hamad International Airport in Doha has been named the “world’s best airport” for the third time in its 10 years of operations, according to the Skytrax World Airport Awards. This year, Singapore Changi, which had held the title for 12 years, was knocked off the top spot. Seoul Incheon secured the third position and was also recognized as the most family-friendly airport of 2024. Tokyo’s Haneda and Narita airports claimed the fourth and fifth positions, respectively.

The rankings are based on customer satisfaction surveys, with airports like Dubai, Paris CDG, Munich, Zurich, and Istanbul also making the top 10. Vienna, Helsinki-Vantaa, Madrid-Barajas, and Vancouver also made it onto the list.

Despite not making it near the top of the rankings this year, American airports were represented by Seattle-Tacoma at 24th place but slipping six places. European airports continued to perform well with Paris Charles de Gaulle being among them along with Munich Zurich and Istanbul maintaining positions in top ten while New York’s JFK fell to 93rd place and LaGuardia improved to 33rd. Melbourne remained Australia’s top-ranked airport at 19th place while London Heathrow moved up one spot to 21st and Gatwick climbed seven places to 48th.
