French Police Surround Iran Consulate After Arrest of Bomb Threat Suspect
On Friday, the Iran consulate in Paris was surrounded by French police after a man was arrested for threatening to blow himself up. Witnesses reported seeing the suspect enter the premises while carrying a grenade or explosive belt. The consulate requested an intervention, and as a result, an elite police unit was mobilized. The whole neighborhood around the consulate in the 16th district was cordoned off for safety.
