Founded in 1929, Friedman’s Shoes has been located at 209 Mitchell Street SW in Downtown Atlanta for 95 years. The family-owned men’s and ladies shoe store is known for its large selection of sizes, ranging from 7-22 in men’s sizes and 7-14 in ladies sizes.
Brett Teilhaber, owner of Friedman’s Shoes, shares the history of the business and his excitement for the future of South Downtown. His grandfather opened a shoe repair business in the area in 1929, and his father purchased the store in the 70s. Today, all four sons work in the family business alongside a total of eight employees.
