Family-Owned Jim Jacobs: From St. Cloud Business Expansion to Chamber of Commerce Recognition

Jim Jacobs, a partner in the firm, took over ownership of Jacobs Financial in 1992 after the company relocated to St. Cloud in 1979. Over the years, the business has grown significantly and now employs seven advisors and seven support staff. The company plans to expand into the Brainerd and Maple Grove areas in the future.

The family-owned aspect of the business is highly important to Jim and his brothers, Andy and Dave. They believe that trust is crucial when working with clients as their name is on the sign outside the building. This commitment to doing what’s right not only for clients but for the community has been instrumental in their success. Their relationship with the St. Cloud Area Chamber of Commerce has also played a significant role in their growth, helping them connect with people and form lasting relationships within the community.

The St. Cloud Area Chamber of Commerce will be hosting its annual Business Awards Luncheon on May 1st where Jim will be honored as Family-Owned Business of the Year along with other award recipients such as H&S Heating, A/C, Electrical and Plumbing for Small Business Owners of the Year and Jill Magelssen of Express Employment Professionals as Women in Business Champion.
