Utah Group Acquires ENVE Composites from Amer Sports

ENVE Composites Sold to Private Investment Firm PV3: A New Chapter in the Utah-based Company’s Growth

ENVE Composites, a leading provider of high-performance bicycle components, has been sold to PV3, a private investment firm based in Utah. The sale was announced by Amer Sports, the company that originally acquired ENVE in 2016 for $50 million.

ENVE Composites has experienced significant growth since its founding in 2007 as Edge Composites and its subsequent rebranding in 2010. The company’s product offerings have expanded to include carbon forks, seatposts, handlebars, stems, and even bike frames. General Manager Mike Stimola sees the acquisition as an opportunity to take ENVE to the next level under local Utah ownership. He will continue in his role and the sale is expected to close in the next few weeks.

PV3 Enterprises, LLC is run by principals Mark Hancock and Blaine Blood. Hancock, a Utah native and avid cyclist, sees potential in ENVE and is committed to supporting its growth while maintaining its local manufacturing heritage and leadership in composites technology.

The sale marks the end of Amer Sports’ ownership of ENVE Composites. In recent years, Amer has divested itself of other brands such as Mavic, Precor, and Suunto. Ultimately, the Anta-led group acquired Amer for $5.2 billion in 2019.
