Elon Musk delays trip to India due to Tesla commitments

Elon Musk Postpones Trip to India for Tesla Factory and SpaceX Collaboration Amidst Election Fever

Elon Musk had planned to visit India next week, where he was expected to meet with Prime Minister Narendra Modi and announce the construction of a new Tesla factory in the country. However, due to heavy obligations at Tesla, Musk has postponed his trip and expressed that he is looking forward to visiting later this year.

During his visit, Musk was also planning to meet with leaders of Indian space tech startups, including the co-founder of Skyroot Aerospace. In addition to Tesla and SpaceX, Musk is also the CEO of X. Reports suggest that Musk was considering an investment of $2 to $3 billion in India for the new Tesla factory.

The original plans for Musk’s visit coincided with the commencement of India’s democratic election, which was expected to last over a month with an estimated 960 million eligible voters in the country. The election was anticipated to be a closely watched event as current Prime Minister Narendra Modi sought a rare third consecutive term.
