Chicago Crime Spree: Three Armed Robberies in One Night: Stay Informed with ABC7 Chicago’s Live Coverage
On Tuesday night, a series of armed robberies occurred in several businesses in Chicago. The first robbery took place around 9:50 p.m. on West 47th Street in the 1800-block where three male suspects entered a business and demanded property from an employee before grabbing money from a register and fleeing in an unknown direction.
The second robbery happened just over an hour later, at around 10:09 p.m., in the 1100-block of West 18th Street where three suspects with handguns demanded property from an employee and four customers before striking the employee in the head with a handgun and fleeing southbound on May Street. The victim declined medical attention.
Around 10:20 p.m., another robbery occurred at a 7-Eleven store located on North Damen Avenue in the 2000-block where three male suspects entered the business with handguns, demanded property from an employee, grabbed money from a register, and fled south on Damen Avenue.
