Celebrating Small Businesses: National Small Business Week Shines a Light on Revitalization Projects and Entrepreneurial Spirit

The Small Business Showcase, held in honor of National Small Business Week, brought together 15 small businesses from across the country to recognize the contributions of Main Street businesses. Nick Davis and Jason Duff from Small Nation were among the participants, sharing their insights on revitalizing small towns through projects such as Six Hundred Downtown Pizzeria, Brewfontaine craft beer bar, and the Historic Opera Block project in Downtown Bellefontaine.

The event was hosted by the House Committee on Small Business and Chairman Rep. Roger Williams, and important figures like House Speaker Mike Johnson and Majority Whip Tom Emmer attended. Duff expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to celebrate Small Business Week on Capitol Hill and emphasized the importance of advocacy for Main Street businesses.

Karen Kerrigan from the Small Business and Entrepreneurship Council also commended the entrepreneurial spirit of small businesses like Small Nation and recognized their advocacy efforts. The event was well received by members of Congress and House GOP leadership who acknowledged the significant role of small businesses in economic growth.
