Breaking the Stigma: A Community Health Fair for Mental Well-Being in Gwinnett

The community health fair, organized by Live Healthy Gwinnett in support of Mental Health Awareness Month, is taking place on Saturday, May 11. The event will be held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the George Pierce Park Community Recreation Center in Suwanee, according to Gwinnett County officials.

Project Coordinator Carion Marcelin expressed excitement about the health fair, stating, “We are thrilled to host this community health fair to promote mental health awareness and empower residents with valuable resources and information. By coming together as a community, we can break the stigma surrounding mental health and encourage individuals to prioritize their well-being.”

The event is free of charge and will include interactive demonstrations, health screenings, and opportunities to connect with local agencies. CareSource and GUIDE, Inc. are sponsoring the event.
