The Trial Involving Donald Trump’s Payment of Hush Money

Breaking News: Trump Challenges Gag Order in NY Criminal Hush Money Trial; Fined $9,000 for Violations

On Tuesday, former President Donald Trump expressed his frustration about the gag order he is currently under in his New York criminal hush money trial. He criticized the order after being fined for violations, claiming that it hinders his Constitutional right to free speech. Trump asserted that he is the only Presidential Candidate in History to be gagged, calling the trial rigged and accusing the judge of interfering in the 2024 presidential election by restricting his freedom of speech.

It is important to note that Trump is not prohibited from speaking at the trial. Instead, he is restricted from making statements about witnesses, jurors, prosecutors, court staff, and family members of those individuals. Despite these restrictions, Trump continues to assert his right to free speech and opposition to the limitations imposed on him during the trial. This morning, he was fined $9,000 by Judge Juan Merchan for violating the gag order in nine different posts on social media and his campaign website.
