Branitz and Sanssouci Parks Unveil Open-Air Exhibitions on Climate Change Awareness
The Pückler Park Branitz in Cottbus is currently hosting a discussion on climate change through an open-air exhibition. From April 30th to October 31st, the park will showcase the effects of climate change on its natural elements and buildings.
The exhibition, titled “Future Rich. Climate Change Branitz,” includes twelve stations in the inner park that provide information on the impact of climate change on the soil, water system, trees, and meadows of the park. Additionally, contemporary art interventions by artists Lea Grebe, Tayfun Erdogmus, and Jakob Kukula offer a new perspective on the Branitz park landscape through their artistic contributions.
The collaboration with the Prussian Palaces and Gardens Berlin-Brandenburg Foundation also features an open-air exhibition on the consequences of climate change in Sanssouci Park starting from the end of April. This exhibition aims to raise awareness about the impact of climate change on historic gardens and cultural heritage sites while highlighting tree regeneration efforts in Potsdam’s Sanssouci Park.
