Zizooboats GmbH Faces Insolvency Proceedings in Berlin and Vienna Branches, with Coparion and Check 24 Ventures Taking a Key Role

In recent news, the Zizooboats GmbH Berlin branch is currently undergoing preliminary insolvency proceedings. This comes as insolvency proceedings have already been initiated against the parent company, Zizooboats GmbH Wien. It has been reported that Coparion and Check 24 Ventures have taken an active role in both the Berlin and Vienna branches of Zizooboats.

The provisional insolvency administrator in Berlin has been appointed to take over and is now responsible for securing and preserving the assets of the debtor by monitoring their financial situation. The Charlottenburg District Court has announced that the administrator has been given permission to collect bank balances, outstanding claims from creditors, as well as accept any incoming funds.

Yacht magazine was the first to report on this news, although there have been concerns about Zizoo’s business practices in the past, including unpaid boat rentals and refunds for cancellations or failed rentals. However, it should be noted that there have been no reports of these issues affecting either the Berlin or Vienna branches specifically.

Meanwhile, Viennese lawyer Paul Kessler has filed a bankruptcy petition at the Vienna Commercial Court. The court has ordered Zizooboats GmbH to make an advance payment of 4,000 euros for start-up costs associated with bankruptcy proceedings by February 23rd, 2024. If Zizoo denies insolvency, they must provide evidence that they have paid their creditors or entered into installment agreements with them.
